On the eve of Michael Jackson’s public memorial where it will cost the city of Los Angeles $2.5 million dollars for police security at taxpayer’s expense, I want to scream. I want to scream at the fans of Michael Jackson as well as the celebrities who will attend it. I want to bloody-scream at the media who will cover his public memorial. You may ask why I wish to scream and here is why. On the eve of this public memorial to Jackson, 7 troops died in Afghanistan and yet, no one knows their names. No one!!!!

WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO OUR COUNTRY?

Ed McMahon died last week. He was a great entertainer, but prior to his stage accomplishments he was a distinguished Marine Corps fighter pilot in WWII earning six Air Medals and attaining the rank of Colonel. He was discharged in 1946 and was later promoted to the rank of Brigadier General in the CA Air National Guard.

Farrah Fawcett died last week after a long career in Hollywood as an actress. After she was diagnosed with cancer, she became an activist for cancer treatment and devoted her last remaining years encouraging people to seek treatment. She documented her plight on film and used it to encourage others to stay positive and upbeat despite their diagnosis and suffering.

Michael Jackson died last week. He was perhaps one of the greatest singers of modern time. He will also be remembered for his eccentric lifestyle that included sleeping with a chimpanzee, living in a carnival-like atmosphere at Neverland, his fascination with Peter Pan, and his numerous masks and costumes. He also admitted to finding pleasure sleeping with young boys and paying out millions of dollars in settlements to the families of these boys despite being acquitted by a court on one allegation of sexual molestation.

QUESTION - Which of the above did the House of Representatives declare a moment of silence for?

QUESTION - Which of the above's family received a personal note of condolence from President Obama?

This is the only thing I will say about Jackson, I cannot believe the attention this FREAK has received from the media, as our country is being dismantled by fascist and our rights being taken away, this Perverted Pedophile FREAK is all the country can focus on.

We are in a sorry state of affairs when our elected officials give this FREAK a moment of silence only because he sold a bunch of records and could dance backwards while grabbing his crotch!!

I don't think that their is much hope for our country anymore!

WASHINGTON - At a recent meeting of the Senate Judiciary Committee, lawmakers implored Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to make sure new passport requirements don't get in the way of French-Canadian grandparents crossing the U.S.-Canadian border to visit their grandchildren.

There was no mention of how those new rules might hurt Mexican grandparents trying to cross the U.S.-Mexican border to visit their grandkids in Arizona, California, New Mexico or Texas.

"There's been very much a double standard in dealing with the two borders," said Jim Kolbe, the former Republican congressman who represented the Tucson border area for more than 20 years and is considered an expert on immigration issues. He said Northern border residents would be "aghast" if the federal government erected the kind of fences and barricades there that line the Southwestern border.

We are still at war even if the Obama administration wants you to believe that it has gone away. All our borders should be secured,remember when a terrorist was captured coming thru the Canadian Border to blow up L.A. Airport?

Congress hides policy from the people

This weekend's Fourth of July festivities celebrated the birth of representative government in America. As the Declaration of Independence set forth 233 years ago, our government derives its power from the consent of the governed. Such consent does not exist when legislation is purposely rammed through Congress so quickly that congressmen -- let alone citizens -- do not have time even to read it.

Welcome to Speaker Nancy Pelosi's House of Representatives. The "people's House" is now a place where bills are voted on not only before legislators or the public have read them, but also before parts of the bills even have been written. Such was the case with a 300-page amendment to the cap-and-trade bill the House passed on June 26. The House leadership could not even produce this amendment on paper, in final form, before it was voted on.

In response to that and other recent outrageous infringements of real representative democracy, a group called Let Freedom Ring is pushing all 435 members of Congress and 100 senators to sign a pledge against such shenanigans on any health care reform bill Congress considers.

All 535 of them ought to do so.

The pledge, which can be found at www.pledgetoread.com, reads in part as follows: "I pledge to my constituents and the American people that I will not vote to enact any healthcare reform package that: 1) I have not read, personally, in its entirety; and 2) Has not been available, in its entirety, to the American people on the Internet for at least 72 hours, so that they can read it too."

No simpler requirement for good government could be imagined. When what is at stake is a revolutionary change in the entire organization of 17 percent of the economy - not to mention the delivery of services that could mean the difference between life and death for millions of Americans each year - it is basic common sense to insist that our lawmakers know and understand what they are voting on - and that includes the fine print.

As it was put by Colin Hanna, president of Let Freedom Ring, "there is no rational reason for not signing the pledge."

Unfortunately, Mrs. Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid say they can't be bothered with such essentials. On June 25, both declined to promise to give the public a week to review any major health care reform. Mrs. Pelosi did not even respond to a question posed at a press briefing by Cybercast News Service about whether the Congressional Budget Office would have time to "score" the bill's final price tag.

Such an attitude represents the height -- or, rather, the depth -- of irresponsibility.

It is an axiom in criminal court that "ignorance of the law is no excuse." There certainly is no excuse for lawmakers to be ignorant of the laws they would force on the rest of us. That sounds almost criminal to us.

Pentagon Denies Flyover of Patriotic ‘God and Country Rally’ in Nampa Idaho Because of its Christian Content

NAMPA, ID (MetroCatholic) - This marks the first time in the 42 year history of the event that a flyover request was denied by the Pentagon.

The event is held ever year to honor the spiritual foundations of our country with a special emphasis on the men and women who serve in the armed forces.

In past years, the “God and Country Rally” has focused on honoring and paying tribute to those veterans who have served our nation in the past and those who are currently on active duty.

At the rally this year, all five branches of the armed services were featured with over 60 new recruits sworn into the military at the event.

After a phone conversation and an e-mail response from the Pentagon, Rally Director Patti Syme says they were denied the request for a flyover this year because of the “Christian” nature of the event.

Isnt this the same the U.S. Goverment that gives Terrorist Korans, prayer rugs, foot baths and lets them pray a hundred timse a day, not to mention the fine Goverment facility they live in, why does our Goverment allow that if we have separation of Church and State?, But American Christians who pay their taxes to a oppressive Goverment cant have a flyover........GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NEW YORK (AP) - In a special naturalization ceremony at the Statue of Liberty today, seven members of the U.S. armed forces become citizens of the United States.

The seven join more than 47,000 non-citizens who have served in the military since 9/11 and have become U.S. citizens through special "fast-track" provisions.

U.S. Department of Homeland Security Deputy Secretary Jane Holl Lute will administer the oath of allegiance to them and they will climb the statue's crown, which opens to the public for the first time since the terror attacks.

These are the kind of Immigrants this country needs, people who come from other country's and who are willing to lay down their life for the freedom of our Nation and its people, (as alot of natural born citzens would never do anything for this country except expect the rest of us to pay their way thru life) We welcome these New Americans and they will reap the rewards of this Country.

PALOMINAS — It isn’t along a highway, but Glenn Spencer’s billboard along the American-Mexican border carries a special message to those responsible for the nation’s security: Finish the Job.

The day before the Fourth of July, Spencer, who heads the private nonprofit American Border Patrol (which should not be confused with the federal U.S. Border Patrol), and a number of helpers placed 3,000 small American flags and messages on part of the 18-foot high border fence, changing a 60-foot stretch of rusty metal into colorful patches of red, white and blue.

This is the second year during the national Independence holiday that he has placed Old Glory and messages on a stretch of the border fence.

U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn, a Tennessee Republican, has become the sixth co-sponsor of a proposal by Rep. Bill Posey, R-Fla., that would require documentation of eligibility from presidential candidates.

She has joined Reps. John Campbell, R-Calif.; John R. Carter, R-Texas; John Culberson, R-Texas; Bob Goodlatte, R-Va.; and Randy Neugebauer, R-Texas, in support Posey's H.R. 1503 plan.

The bill's provisions are simple:

"To amend the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971 to require the principal campaign committee of a candidate for election to the office of President to include with the committee's statement of organization a copy of the candidate's birth certificate, together with such other documentation as may be necessary to establish that the candidate meets the qualifications for eligibility to the Office of President under the Constitution."

It also provides:

"Congress finds that under section 5 of article II of the Constitution of the United States, in order to be eligible to serve as President, an individual must be a natural born citizen of the United States who has attained the age of 35 years and has been a resident within the United States for at least 14 years."

The sponsors' goal is to have the bill become effective for the 2012 presidential election, and it now is pending in a committee of the U.S. House of Representatives

I dont know if BHO is a natral born citizen of this country or not, but I say if there is any question about it, show us the proof, one of the reasons why this may be kept quite is,what happens if he is not a citizen of the USA?, think about it.

American & Marine Corps Flag Burned in Dallas

When Ed Jordan hung two flags from his front porch, one for his country and one for the Marine Corps he once served in, he thought no one would take issue with his gesture to honor the troops during the Fourth of July.

He returned home from an errand Monday morning to find the flags burned, their cinders scattered amid his azaleas.


"I'd have given them the flags if they wanted them," he said, spreading a handful of remains out on his coffee table. "But to just burn them – I don't understand that at all."

A sooty sliver of red and white was all that remained of the American flag.

Another that had depicted a famous photograph of Marines at Iwo Jima had been reduced to shreds of melted nylon.

Jordan said he enlisted in the Marines out of high school and served as a corporal at Camp Pendleton, Calif., in the 1950s.

"When I was on active duty, the flag always meant something to me," he said. "I'd always take pride when I saw it flying in civilian areas."

How others could take offense at the same sight was beyond his understanding.

"When you damage something that so many have died for, the symbol it represents, that, to me, is intolerable," he said.

Jordan didn't hold out much hope that the culprit or culprits would be caught. He said he'll get another flag and fly it, as he has done for more than a decade.

"I'm not angry, just disappointed," he said. "I guess, more than anything, I feel sorry for them."

"Disappointed" was also the word Jordan's neighbor, Celeste Mele, used to describe her feelings after discovering her own flag had been burned, though she had a few others she said weren't printable.

"The question is, was it a prank or some anti-American statement?" she said. "I guess in this day and age, it could be either one."

In this case, though, the context actually improves the story. This takes place in Albany, where the New York state Senate remains locked in a power struggle in an evenly divided chamber. Rather than an insult to American patriotism, the Democrats here engaged in an insult to the intelligence of New Yorkers:

Is petulance the highest form of patriotism? After all, according to the Democratic leader of the California assembly, dissent is apparently now terrorism. Maybe the Democrats on the other coast want to make tantrums and sandbox tactics into democracy.

In this case, the refusal to stand comes as the culmination of a series of childish gestures. One member plays exies no erasies with the podium, while her colleagues try to make the chamber into the Democratic Club playhouse (no Republican cooties allowed!).

When Republicans try to start the session on their own terms, the Democrats refuse to acknowledge their authority to do so — which is why they remained seated, except for one Democrat, who got pulled back down by his desk partner.

Maybe it’s time for New Yorkers to send blankies to their state Senate and insist that their elected representatives take nap time, followed by lessons on sharing. Everything these people know, they learned in kindergarten — or maybe pre-school.

Its time for New Yorkers to get rid of all their unpatriotic and inmature non representives!!

Today, the Arizona Senate passed Senate Bill 1113 by a vote of 19-8. The bill now heads to the desk of Governor Jan Brewer (R) for her consideration. The Governor has ten days, not counting Sundays, to sign or veto the bill.

Senate Bill 1113, introduced by State Senator Jack Harper (R-4), would allow concealed carry permit holders to take concealed handguns into restaurants that serve alcohol, provided they are not consuming.As we reported, two other bills (Senate Bill 1168 and Senate Bill 1243) have already made their way to the Governor.SB1168, sponsored by State Senator Russell Pearce (R-18), would permit a law-abiding individual to store their firearms in their locked motor vehicle while parked on a publicly accessible parking lot controlled by their employer or a business they frequent.

This bill will protect your right to keep a firearm in your car if you choose to hunt or target shoot before or after work. SB1168 would also allow an individual to keep a firearm in their vehicle for self-defense during their commute to and from work.

SB1243, sponsored by State Senator Russell Pearce (R-18), would clarify the statutory definition of defensive display of a firearm. This clarification of defensive display of a firearm is a valuable addition to your right to self-defense.

I find it amazing that after a long successful war in Iraq, as we begin pull back and leave the major city's, and as our brave and honorable troops leave what do we hear from Iraq? that the invaders and occupiers (the U.S. who liberated millions of Iraq's)are leaving, and with that they have a big celebration, But what I find most disturbing is that all we hear from our Commander in Chief is............Silence.

No, thanks for your sacrifice, no, job well done, no, the American people are proud of you. All our troops get from him is silence. He is to busy writing the next apology to say thank you to our troops.

The left has turned on the troops just as they did in Vietnam but not as blatantly. They don't speak out against the troops as they did in the 60's but their message is just as loud, its called silence!!

This corrupt Goverment would do well in remembering that these young warriors took an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemy's foreign and domestic. If the shoe fits wear it!!

You are on record of accusing the Republicans to be "traitors to America" because they opposed H.R. 1, they are opposing H.R. 2454, and they are opposing any National Healthcare agenda you Democrats happen to dream up. Allow me to take a moment and set the record straight.

1. No one opposed the notion that our economy needed a stimulus. What was opposed was the "how". Discounting for a moment that you foisted a Bill upon the American people that never even got read, I challenge you to name 1 single improvement to our economy that your so-called stimulus bill has produced. Unemployment continues to rise...the national debt continues to rise at the rate of $280,000 per second...there have been over 1,000,000 foreclosures since Obama took office...there have been over 572,000 business bankruptcies, etc.

2. Everything espoused by you 'out of control' Democrats is rife with contradictions in your expressed aims. On one hand you sell your programs via economic scare tactics, while babbling ad nauseum how you 'exist to help the poor over-burdened American people', then on one hand pass legislation that favors them, while on the other hand taking away everything you have given via other forms of taxation, or indirect negative impact to the economy as a whole which will raise the cost of living across the board for every American.

3. You hail from California, what was once the wealthiest State in the nation. Liberal policies have ruined this State, starting back in the 80's when you drove every major corporation out of California. Now you take your same inept concepts to the Federal level. Seems that yourself and your ilk have a 'learning disability'.

It is time to get rid of all these corrupt Politicians, People are getting tired of this Bullshit being rammed down their throats. Change is coming , but I don't think it will be the kind of change our corrupt Representatives are hoping for.

Arizona:Plan to criminalize illegal immigrants "still alive"

A state lawmaker says his proposal to criminalize the presence of illegal immigrants in Arizona remains alive as the legislature tries to wrap up its current session.

Sen. Russell Pearce saind on Tuesday he's confident the measure will win approval in the Senate and that leaders have tentatively agreed to let it come to a vote in the House.

The proposal would make Arizona the only state to criminalize the presence of illegal immigrants through an expansion of its trespassing law.
Supporters say local police enforcing an expanded trespassing law would provide a second layer of enforcement to catch immigrants who slip past federal agents.

Opponents predict it would lead to racial profiling that would target thousands of Latinos who are U.S. citizens.
